How Are EPP Hexagons Measured?
This is an important one because people constantly get confused.
English Paper Piecing hexagons are measured by the length of one side, not across the center.
For example, a 1" hexagon has six 1" sides. A 4" hexagon measures approximately 8" from point to point across the center, which is why checking the measurement before ordering matters. Paper Pieces

What Size Hexagon Should I Use?
1" Hexagons
A classic all-purpose size and a great place to start. Easy to handle, easy to find fabric for, and perfect for traditional flower blocks, scrappy quilts, and beginner projects. Perfect for 2.5" Squares or Mini Charm Squares.
3/4" Hexagons
A little smaller and great for more detailed work. Cut 2" Squares of Fabric.
1-1/2" and 2" Hexagons
Good for larger-scale projects and faster finishes.
Tiny Hexagons

Oversized Hexagons
