One of our rockstar employees here at Paper Pieces is Emi Hargrove! You’ve seen Emi’s work with the photography in our newsletters, on our social media, and even our products. Her graphic design skills are indispensable! Drawing inspiration from the artists we have the pleasure to work with and beautiful fabrics, there’s always something to be inspired by! “I love that I get to tell a story with the photos that I take,” says Emi, “it is so fun to express my creativity in different media for people to see and enjoy, especially with beautiful quilts.” Often, you’ll find Emi scouting out inspirational spots for quilty photo shoots all around Paducah!
Emi is from a small town in the western part of Kentucky and went to school at West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKTC) for Graphic Design. It was there that she took her passion for arts and honed her skills. “I love learning about digital design, how to use programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, and exploring marketing strategies,” said Emi. “It was these classes that let me explore my creativity the most and how I could use my talents professionally.”
In her spare time, Emi enjoys dance, drawing, learning aerial silks which has taught her to be more confident and see beauty in her strength. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Gilly, and hanging out with friends, both in person and online through video games.
We are so thrilled to introduce you to Emi and so thankful to have her on our team!
